It’s December 1st and officially the holiday season. Festive people all over the country will be opening door number 1 of their advent calendars. If you’re anything like me (and the chances are you’re probably not), chocolate advent calendars just don’t cut it anymore. I want jelly babies or something useful. Otherwise, there’s a very strong likelihood my calendar will remain fully laden, propped up against the mantle piece till January. At end of the day, I want something that’s going to make me want to open it for the next 25 days!
Luckily for me (and you), there’s a trend this season. Giving increasingly opulent, unique and certainly expensive advent calendars to your loved ones seems to be all the rage. It’s not the expensive bit that excites me… With so much choice on the market, you can tailor your advent to the individual tastes you’re buying for. That is assuming we aren’t all buying them for ourselves?!
