Make Tea Not War

As the great British clear up gets underway today, scores of community volunteers, men, women, teens, whole families and children grab the nearest bin bag or dust pan and brush to set about cleaning up the streets of the neighbourhood after several days of unrest. It wasn’t long before in true British defiance, #operationcupoftea began trending on twitter world wide. When we designed and ordered our new season Mark Ho shoppers we had no idea the slogan ‘Make Tea Not War’ would take on such significant meaning.

Make Tea Not War Shopping Bag

Time Out London’s blog: Now Here This was first to report hundreds of Londoners (althought this has now spread across the country) posting pictures of themselves ‘not warring’ but drinking humble cups of tea. We found it a pretty amazing coincidence that we chose the slogan ‘Make Tea Not War’ for one of the shopping bags in our new 2011 collection of juco bags.

Our 5oz cotton shopping bag with ‘Make Tea Not War’ slogan printed in red on one side comes with two long matching cotton handles that have been sewn into the bag.

WBC will be donating 10% to charity from every bag you buy to ALMT, a registered children’s charitable trust directly supporting marginalised children across the globe by meeting their healthcare and educational needs. Beautiful bag, beautiful cause.

    A beautiful bag indeed!

Yoga for Peace Day appreciates winebox’s support.

All monies raised on the day, including sales of the bags, will go to charities supporting people affected by war.

    Thank you winebox!
