Supplying Artwork for Branding

The standard of print on our branded products is as important to us as it is to you. The key to quality outputs starts with quality artwork. We will not advise you to proceed with branding a product if we don't think your artwork is suitable.
If you're in doubt, call our design department on 020 7737 9493 and they will talk you through any queries you may have.

Artwork Guidelines

  1. Artwork must be in digital format. We do not accept film, mechanical artwork or laser printouts as artwork.
  2. If submitting as an Adobe Illustrator file (.eps or ai) it must be converted to vector art. If submitted as Photoshop minimum resolution must be 300dpi at 100% print size.
  3. The artwork must contain not more that 3 different colours.
  4. The thinnest lines cannot be less than 1mm.
  5. There can be no gradients, shadows or colour tints.
  6. If you're linking, importing or placing a file in Illustrator please be sure to include all original artwork as separate TIFF or JPG files.

Acceptable File Formats

  • EPS, Adobe Illustrator Tiff / JPG (300 - 600 dpi)
  • Both Mac and PC platforms

Acceptable Software Applications

  • Adobe Photoshop
  • Adobe Illustrator (CS3)

Delivery Methods

  • Email - up to 10mb
  • Mail - CD and DVD (any size)

Colours

It is important to understand the actual process of screen printing in order to understand why multiple colours' cause problems. Each colour requires a separate screen to be created that corresponds to that colour. Then each screen must be perfectly registered over the other so that no overprinting of colours occurs. The more colours you print, the more likely you are to have a registration problem. We would advise 1 colour only but are happy to run 3 colours where feasible.

When viewing artwork on your computer, do not rely on the colours you see on screen. Most monitors and desktop printers are not accurately calibrated and colours are not a true representation of the final printed version
